Machine Tool Rebuilders

DixiTech CNC specializes in the retrofit, rebuild, remanufacture and service of metal cutting machine tools. We have a specialty with gear machinery, all makes all models, including Gleason, Liebherr, Pfauter, Klingelnberg, Fellows, Reishauer, G & E and Barber Colman. Machines that have a reliable CNC but need mechanical restoration can take advantage of DixiTech CNC's machine tool rebuilders.

We have extensive experience as machine tool rebuilders. We specialize in all makes and models, Including, but not limited to, Gleason, Liebherr, Pfauter, Klingelnberg, Fellows, Reishauer, G & E and Barber Colman.

Our machine tool rebuilders will do a complete restoration of the machine's mechanical components. This allows the machine to run at its full capacity and can, in some cases, hold OEM Spec capacity. These are just some of the benefits that our machine tool rebuilders can do for you.

The entire machine is taken apart, inspected, and rebuilt using new parts when necessary and remachined parts when appropriate. Our Machine tool rebuilders add to the longevity of your machine.

Our machine tool rebuilders can also develop a preventative maintenance schedule that is designed around your down times so that the machines run effectively when you need them.

Machine Tool

A machine tool is a powered mechanical device, typically used to fabricate metal components of machines by the selective removal of metal. The term machine tool is usually reserved for tools that used a power source other than human movement, but they can be powered by people if appropriately set up. Machine tools can be operated manually, or under automatic control.

After significant use, machine tools begin to fall out of specifications, due to normal production wear. This can render a machine useless or adds to slow production. DixiTechCNC's machine tool rebuilders can reverse this effect. Bringing machines back, in some cases, to original OEM specifications.

Computer operated machines are known as CNC, or computer numerical control, machines. NC and CNC machines could precisely repeat sequences over and over, and could produce much more complex pieces than even the most skilled tool operators. CNC machines automatically change the specific cutting and shaping tools used. For example, a drill machine might contain a magazine with a variety of drill bits for producing holes of various sizes. Previously, either machine operators would have to manually change the bit or move the work piece to another station to perform these different operations. The next logical step was to combine several different machine tools together, all under computer control. These are known as machine centers, and have dramatically changed the way parts are made.
